News Detail

Water Main Replacement and Resurfacing

As part of a commitment to maintaining and improving the quality and reliability of the Village's water supply system, aging sections of water main will be replaced along Lincoln Court, Michael Lane, Lullo Drive and Rozanne Drive.

Scope:
Complete replacement of the existing water main, select curb and gutter, aprons, and sidewalk replacement, and resurfacing on the subject streets.

Schedule:  The project is scheduled to commence in March and is expected to be substantially complete in July.  The Village and its contractor will make every effort to stay on schedule. Permitted work hours are 7 AM to 7 PM Mondays through Saturdays, and 8 AM to 7 PM on Sundays.

Impact on Driveway Access:  There will be times during construction when there will be little to no access to driveways from the street. If the curb is being replaced, there will be no driveway access for several days.

Impact on Street Parking:  Street parking is NOT permitted in the construction zone. Prohibiting parking on the street during construction will allow work to progress quickly and safely.

Pace Bus Impact: Construction will impact Pace Bus Route 711.  Pace has released information here.

This construction will be an inconvenience and will cause disruptions for everyone in the neighborhood, but the Village is dedicated to completing the project for everyone’s benefit. Be aware that hazards will exist within the construction area, so it is recommended that it be avoided if possible.

If you must traverse through the construction, please respect the workers and equipment and be alert. The Village appreciates your patience and cooperation during this time. When the work is complete, the Village is confident that this project will enhance our community's long term water reliability and resilience.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this project or have specific accessibility needs of which the Village should be aware, please contact the Engineering Division at (630) 693-7530.
