Addison Historical Society
The Addison Historical Society dates back to March 7, 1974, when a group of citizens saw the need to collect and preserve historical artifacts and materials, which would establish or illustrate the history of the area. The purpose of the organization, which began with 31 charter members, is to bring together those people interested in history, especially in the history of Addison, and is dedicated to promoting the understanding of that history.
The group meets four times a year, on the third Thursday of March, April, September, and October, at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall. A field trip for members occurs in late Spring, and potluck dinner is held in late Fall.
Over the years, the group has conducted garage sales, craft and cookie sales, raffles, and other fundraisers, to support the museum and the preservation of the Century House.
There are many members in the Society. The Society Board is made up of the following members:
Rick Nielsen, President
Lillie Stone, Secretary
Valerie Loftus, Treasurer
Louise Coutre

Dues are $8.00 per person annually, or $12.00 for two or more family members living in a single household. Included with membership is a subscription to the Salt Creek Tattler, the group's newsletter, which is published several times a year.
