What is now known as Concord School began with 17 students in 1849. At the time, children only stayed in school an average of two years. The brick building in which the school is located was dedicated in 1925, and the first eighth grade graduation exercises were held in 1927. Kindergarten classed were not introduced until 1941. Currently, children in pre-kindergarten through the third grade attend school at the Zion, Bensenville campus, while classes for fourth through eighth graders are held in the Addison facility.
