Your local government – made up of dedicated elected officials and highly qualified staff – works hard to ensure that Addison continues to grow and thrive.  Village services are consistently praised, while being provided with a reasonable tax rate.

The Village of Addison was selected by the Lincoln Foundation for Business Excellence as a recipient of the "Commitment to Excellence" Award.

Services are provided from the following three facilities in the Village:

  • Public Works: Oversees streets, water, street lights, tree trimming, branch pickup, waste removal and flood control
  • Finance: All financial services, including water billing information, vehicle stickers and real estate transfers, as well as other no-cost permits and licenses are coordinated here.
  • Community Development: Building permits and zoning issue information, including the instant permit process, home improvement issues to be aware of, home occupations and other ordinances available.
  • Community Relations: Oversees Addison Community Television and various community events, Media relations, including press releases, as well as coordination of the Spotlight on Addison Community Newsletter and the website.
  • Administration: Questions pertaining to personnel and purchasing should be directed here, and inquiries of a general nature may be directed to the Village Manager's Office. Voters registration, freedom of information requests, are also coordinated here.
