Private Development Projects
Engineering reviews plans and performs construction inspections of privately funded development projects such as residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions, and commercial and industrial real estate developments. Many developments require the extension of the Village's infrastructure systems such as water and sanitary sewer mains, roads and streets, and drainage structures to serve the development. These infrastructure systems are designed and constructed by the developer after review and permit issuance by Engineering.

Engineering plan reviews are performed for all exterior aspects of site development, utility, grading, drainage, parking and other site improvements related to new construction and/or redevelopment. All approved plans must adhere to Village Subdivision Control and Standard Specifications codes. To ensure compliance, inspections are performed by the engineering staff during various phases of construction.
