Water and Sewer

The water and sanitary sewer systems in the Village are maintained by the Department of Public Works Water Division and Environmental Services Division, respectively.  However, whenever an extension of the Village's water or sewer system is proposed, the Engineering Division is involved in its planning, design, and construction.  

All new water and sewer extensions are to meet the requirements of the Village's Standard Specifications for Design and Construction and the requirements of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

The engineering division also maintains water and sanitary sewer atlas maps of the Village's water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems.  Individuals may view the maps in the Department of Community Development at Village Hall during regular business hours.
