REALTY PROFESSIONALS INVITED TO SEE WHAT ADDISON HAS TO OFFER

Village, School and Other Agency Officials to Host ‘Realtor Day’

Over the past 10 years, Village of Addison officials have worked extremely hard to transform the community, giving it a virtual facelift that has attracted a variety of new businesses and expanding the housing opportunities to include nearly every price range.

The Village would like to show off this “facelift” to realty professionals throughout the Chicagoland area, inviting them to spend a morning learning what Addison has to offer to their clients and seeing the advantages of the community firsthand.

Realtors are invited to meet Village of Addison staff and elected officials, as well as representatives from the schools, park district and other agencies on Thursday, May 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the Addison Village Hall, One Friendship Plaza. A continental breakfast will be served as Realtors have the opportunity to meet their hosts, and learn about Addison.

They will then be taken on a tour of the community via motor coach, with Village staff introducing housing opportunities ranging from condominiums and townhomes all the way to luxury homes – and giving a sneak peek at what Addison has planned in the future.

“The Addison of today is a far cry from what we were just 10 years ago,” said Mayor Larry Hartwig. “We’ve attracted first rate businesses and built a thriving entertainment corridor that is a destination for people throughout DuPage County.”

It is this thriving commercial base that keeps property taxes low, said Village Manager Joseph Block. “We know that homebuyers don’t just buy a house, they buy into the community. We want to show off the unique opportunities that Addison offers.”
