ALEXANDRA ROSE LONGO CROWNED ‘MISS ADDISON 2010’
Six Women Competed for $2,250 in Scholarships
Six outstanding young women competed Tuesday evening in the Addison Village
Hall rotunda for scholarships in the “Miss Addison 2010” pageant. After modeling
both casual and formal wear, and completing two question-and-answer rounds with
the judges, Alexandra Rose Longo, 2010 graduate of Addison Trail High School,
was chosen as the winner. Ms. Longo achieved the “A” Honor Roll all four years
of high school; was a member and officer of National Honor
Society; and was recognized as both Illinois State Scholar and
Outstanding Senior in English. She will attend the University of
Wisconsin-Madison in the fall, and received a $1,500 scholarship
for her studies. Kali Maginity was chosen as First-Runner Up
for the second straight year. She also graduated from Addison
Trail this year, and will attend Northwestern University. She
received a $500 scholarship. Monique Barras was chosen as
Second-Runner Up. She just completed her junior year at Addison
Trail, but plans to use her $250 scholarship in attending the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. The other
three contestants were Melissa Adams, ATHS Class of 2011;
Jennifer Rowley, 2010 ATHS graduate and former Driscoll Catholic
High School student; and Kimberly Schultz, 2010 ATHS graduate.
Miss Addison represents the Village of Addison at the Miss
DuPage County pageant, as well as participating in local events
such as the Mayor’s Community Charity Ball and the annual Tree
Lighting Ceremony. Four judges ranked the contestants this
year: James Narducci of One Salon & Spa of Oak Brook, Panorea
Lekkas-Bakutis, former Addison Village Clerk and Trustee; Cheryl
Krevitz, manager of Syms of Addison; and Heather Winter of
Elmhurst College.
