TRUCK TRAFFIC RESTRICTED ON FULLERTON AVENUE BRIDGE

Addison Township Highway Commissioner Rich Kaske has notified the Village of Addison that the Fullerton Avenue bridge over Salt Creek, which is under township jurisdiction, has been weakened due to a broken beam on the underside. The bridge is located east of Villa Avenue and west of Illinois Route 83.

The lane width will be narrowed, and a 5-ton maximum weight restriction will be posted and enforced.

The Addison Police Department and Addison Public Works Department are working with the County to ensure that motorists are aware and complying with the restriction.

Trucks weighing more than the 5-ton maximum should use the Frontage Road, immediately west of Illinois Route 83.
