20th ANNUAL MAYOR’S COMMUNITY CHARITY BALL NOVEMBER 13
Reservations Available at Village Hall, Through 22
Sponsoring Organizations
Reservations are now available for the 2010 Mayor’s Community Charity Ball,
to be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at Alta Villa Banquets, 430 N. Addison Road. This
black-tie optional event is hosted by Mayor Larry Hartwig. Dinner tickets will
be $75 per person; approximately half of this will be donated to
the sponsoring organization of your choice. Tickets sold on
behalf of the Village of Addison will be donated to two causes
of the mayor’s choice – this year, these funds will go to
support the Community Switchboard, and to Addison Center for the
Arts, which will use the funds to help furnish their new
facility at Addison Trail High School. Last year, nearly
$61,000 was donated, all of it to local charities and service
organizations. It is hoped that this year’s event will be even
more successful. The sponsoring orgnizations are: Addison
Community Switchboard, Addison Center for the arts, Addison
Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Addison Rec Club, Addison Trail
Theatre Boosters, Americans of Italian Descent, Concord Lutheran
School, District 4 Educational Foundation, Elmhurst Memorial
Hospital Foundation Friends of the Addison Public Library,
Helping Hands Sertoma Club, Kiwanis Club of Addison, Knights of
Columbus, Medinah Shriners, Northeast DuPage Special Recreation
Association (NEDSRA), Parks & Recreation Foundation, Rotary Club
of Addison, Serenity House Counseling Services, Sister Cities of
Addison, Student Participation Center and Women’s Club of
Addison. Tickets may also be purchased for the Cash Raffle,
awarding $1,500, $1,000 and $500 – winners need not be present.
The 20th Annual Mayor’s Community Charity Ball will begin with
cocktails at 6 p.m., and dinner at 7 p.m. The Addison Trail
Chamber Strings will provide dinner music. After dinner, guests
are invited to dance to the Elmhurst College Jazz Band. During
the course of the evening, guests may also begin a bit of early
Christmas shopping, as more than 300 items will be available in
the Silent Auction. As this portion of the event has become more
popular over the years, participants this year will have the
opportunity to pre-register their credit card at the beginning
of the evening to allow them to skip the payment line once the
auction closes. To purchase dinner or raffle tickets, or to
get more information, please contact Doree Krage, Assistant
Community Relations Director, at 693-7550 or e-mail
dkrage@addison-il.org.
