The Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission is responsible for review and recommendations on proposed subdivisions, annexations, special uses, rezoning, and other land use matters.
Variations are reviewed and decided by the P&Z Commission. All other requests require review and a recommendation to the Building, Zoning & Development (BZD) Committee and final action from the Village Board. The first and third Monday of the month following the P&Z meeting.
TIMELINE
The approval process is as short as five weeks for variations and as short as three months for all other requests (but it can be longer depending on when the applicant submits and whether or not additional review time and/or revisions are necessary).
MEETINGS
The P&Z Commission meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. Applications, including all fees, documents, and plans, are due five weeks prior to the desired public hearing date.
