Volunteer Opportunities
The Addison Historical Museum has a couple of volunteer opportunities available.
Museum Docents: assist by providing guided tours of the museum buildings to the general public, groups and children groups such as schools and scouts.
Program/Special Events Volunteers: assist by staffing one of the museum buildings during Village Special Events such as Summer Rock 'N Wheels/Museum Craft Show Thursday nights, ,Veterans Day Open House, Christmas Tree Lighting/Holiday events in late November and early December and Memorial Day Open House; assist with Historical Society programming for adults and children.

Donations
The Historical Society accepts donations of archival material and artifacts relating to Addison History for the museum collection. The museum has the capability to scan original photographs and documents you do not wish to donate. Please contact the Museum Coordinator at 630-628-1433 or email museum@addison-il.org if you have an item you are interested in donating. Please note that items that are sent to or left at the museum without notifying museum staff in advance may be disposed of by the museum as it sees fit.
The Addison Historical Society is a 501 (c) 3, not-for-profit organization and accepts financial donations. Donations support the preservation and care of the archival and artifact collection, the development and installation of museum exhibits, programming expenses and the Historical Society College Scholarship. Membership
You can support the preservation and promotion of local history by joining the Addison Historical Society. The Society presents four local history programs, children's programming, a Pot Luck Dinner, and a field trip to museum or historical site each year. Members receive email communication about all Historical Society and Village sponsored events. Annual dues are $10 for an Individual, $15 for a Family and $15 for a Business, Institutional or Professional Membership. For a member applications, please email museum@addison-il.org.
