Addison-Medinah Shriners Parade Aug. 29

The 2021 Addison-Medinah Shriners Parade will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29.  The parade is open to not-for profit organizations, taxing bodies, community and youth groups and businesses that are Addison based or conduct their business or service in Addison and local elected officials and candidates for political office.

Units may be floats, cars, vans, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles or walking groups.  This year’s theme is “Honoring Our Healthcare Workers and First Responders”.  All units are encouraged to display the parade theme.

The parade steps off from Addison Trail High School promptly at 3 p.m. and proceeds 1.7 miles east along Army Trail Boulevard to Friendship Plaza. There will be a post parade event on the Village Green starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.

Completed and signed parade application, rules, and waiver form are due by Aug. 13.  They may be mailed to:  Parade Committee, Village of Addison, One Friendship Plaza, Addison, Illinois 60101 or emailed to the parade coordinator.
